Lukovo is known for its unique pebbly beach, one of the most beautiful beaches of the Velebit Riviera from Rijeka to Zadar.
The beach is located just on the outskirts of Lukovo, reachable in a few minutes on foot from any location in Lukovo. The beach is suitable for families with children.
Zala beach is located just outside the settlement of Lukovo to the north, in a beautiful untouched cove, and it is reachable on foot in 15 minutes. The path includes some rocky terrain, so be sure to wear suitable shoes. Its pristine waters and surroundings make it a perfect spot for all nature loving swimmers.

Several coves in the surroundings of Lukovo can be reached by a short trip by boat, kayak or paddle board.
To the north of the settlement, a small cove is located just beyond Zala beach, while a bit further you will find the larger Tvrdača cove with a beautiful pebbly beach.
To the south, beyond the Malta peninsula, a small secluded beach can be found. Surrounded by high cliffs it is the perfect spot for a peaceful swimming getaway.
Further south you can reach the pebbly Vlaška beach, which is the perfect destination for a longer kayak trip.
All the beaches in Lukovo and its surroundings are located in pristine coves with untouched nature, so they are perfect snorkelling spots.
